A house built with rot falls
A house built with rotting materials cannot stand.
Even if the facade looks wonderful and the yard seems cared for, the smell of the rot will betray what is seen.
Cruelty is the rot of those who project their own insecurities onto others, who can’t deal with their own chaos.
Cruelty is a demanding task master.
It is an unwielding burden that never lightens its load.
Like chains around the neck, wrists, and ankles – tightening its grip with every move.
It always demands more, more, more.
There is no rest, no time to lay it aside.
When cruelty is the building material of your home, it requires constant attention and repair.
But no matter what repair is done, you can’t ever fix rot. You can only attempt to cover it up. Or just tear it down and replace it.
While the ediface apprears glorious, the inside rots and carries a stench that permeates everything. It is a gilded appearance.
How long until the neighborhood can smell it?
How will you cover the smell?
How will distract so many from the stench?
How will you pit neighbor against neighbor?
What lies will you tell in its defense, rather than dispose of the rot?
How long until you pass laws to declare that rot doesn’t smell, and declare instead that beauty smells?
How long until you bring charges against those who tell the truth about the smell and the rot?
How long until you have sham trials to stop people from complaining about the stench?
How long until you jail the troublemakers who will not play along?
How long until you rationalize silencing them?
“Oh, you are being ridiculous” is the response. “There’s nothing here to see.” “And if there was, you would find it wonderful”. “Or else…”
All in the name of defending a merciless, unending rot?
Do you not see? How can you not know? Rot affects everyone. It is not to be preserved. It is to be discarded. But you turned it on its head making people discardable and disposable.
How long until it disposes of you, oh builder? How long until you are discarded? If everyone is discardable and disposable, how long will it be until you are discarded and disposed of. “But that won’t happen to me” you say. “I’m loyal.” You fool. Loyalty only works in one direction. As soon as you are inconvenient, or a threat, you will be discarded. Rot doesn’t care. It values nothing.
Rot can’t last. It is incapable. It falls. And brings down with it anything that it seeps into. It crashes down, leaving just waste.
It’s only a matter of time.
How long?
That is the question.
A still better question though is this – why build with rot in the first place?
