Control

I could write a whole book on the topic of control. But it’s really unnecessary. Here’s what you need to know:

We think we are in control. But we aren’t.

We desire to be in control. Which only proves that we aren’t in control.

We turn being in control into an idol and false god that we sacrifice everything for. Which again shows that we aren’t in control.

Our conception of what it means to be in control is isn’t really about control. It’s about being controlling. There’s a difference.

We think that God’s version of being in control mirrors our ideas about what it means to be in control. It’s not. And we do this because we think we can control God. We can’t.

What do we have control over? Very little. Some would argue that we have control over nothing.
