Prayer for August 17, 2020

Prayer for August 17, 2020: Please pray with me.  God of the nations, open our eyes to see when you come.  Open our hearts to welcome you.  Open our ears to listen.  Why does humanity insist on making the same mistakes over and over?  Why do we insist that our ways are much better than yours.  Not once has that worked out well.  Yet, we keep trying away.  Why is humanity so stubborn?  Soften our hearts Lord.  Loosen our hands from the death grip we have.  Open us to see the image of God in those around us.  And let us follow your lead.  Let us love.  Amen.
