Prayer for January 26, 2021

Prayer for January 26, 2021: Please pray with me. God of Good News, you have the best news of all. Yet, we humans come up with our own versions of “good” news. Except our news is lacking so very often. It lacks in how it encompasses people. It lacks in restoration. It lacks in peace. It lacks in grace. Yet people lap it up – drinking in a failing theology that offers garbage. And we’re supposed to be exited by that and change our lives for that? Seriously? Help us to put aside such rubbish. Open our ears to hear your Good News. Open our minds to discern when the news of bad theology, philosophy, and ideology is proclaimed and see it for what it is – sewage. And once we see it for what it is, transform us to live into your Good News. Amen.
