Prayer for January 4, 2021

Prayer for January 4, 2021: Please pray with me. God who pays attention, you watch what goes on. I imagine you do a face palm often as you watch humanity make the same mistakes over and over again, regardless of the time or place. We think we know what is best. We think we can bend the rules to suit our own desires. We think we are in control. How silly. Thank you for your patience Lord. You pay attention to all of these things. But you also pay attention to other things. You provide what we need. You guide our steps. You silence us when we should be silent. You foil our plans that will be destructive to us and the rest of creation. You come to the aid of the poor and outcast. You turn the tables of those who abuse power. You pay attention. Thank you.
