Prayer for July 27, 2020

Prayer for July 27, 2020: Please pray with me.  God of the unexpected, you surprise us all the time.  We have ridiculous expectations about you.  And you don’t seem to care what our expectations are.  I wonder why that is.  Maybe because we are not in charge – you are.  When will humanity really understand this?  When will we get the idea that we don’t get to tell you how you will conform to our expectations?  Turn us from this.  Open our hearts and minds to encounter you – the real you.  And in so doing, transform us.  Amen.
