Prayer for June 1, 2020

Prayer for June 1, 2020: Please pray with me. God of fire, burn within us.  Burn away the things and beliefs and identities that do not bring life, that keep us from you.  Burn away our desire to separate and divide.  Burn away the idols that we put in place of you, that we listen to instead of you.  Burn away our sin.  And in place of these deadwood, light a fire within us – to serve, to worship, to praise, to comfort, to stand up for justice and stand up to injustice, to speak for those without a voice, regardless of the cost.  Light a fire within us that cannot be quenched.  And in lighting a fire in us, use us to light a fire in others to do likewise.  Amen.
