Prayer for May 26, 2021

Prayer for May 26, 2021: Please pray with me. God who encounters us and sets up camp with us, we are slow learners. We spend too much time and effort focused on being right, as if that is most important. Why? What good is being right if we have pushed everyone away in the process? Are we really right in that case? Aren’t we called to be in community? And that means letting go of our pride and narcissistic tendencies. Cut away our pride – throw it in the ocean and let it sink to the deep, never to be found again. Cleanse us of our sin of valuing being right over relationship and community. Shift our focus to care for people. Amen.
