Prayer for September 13, 2021

Prayer for September 13, 2021: Please pray with me. God of Wisdom, you call out. Your voice cannot be ignored. Yet the willfully ignorant refuse to listen. Soften our hearts that we may not reject your wisdom, but rather embrace it. You give what we need, and too often we turn away thinking we know better than you. We do this when we turn you into an idea, something distant. But you are far more than an idea or something distant. You are here. You are now. You encounter us and impact our world and our lives. Wisdom tells us who we are and who you are. Let us incline our ear to listen and be full by your wisdom. Amen.

Call to Action: How do you listen to the wisdom of God? Do you? Do you make excuses as to why you can’t follow what God has offered? Why do you think you know better than God? Today, let go of one of the excuses. Bury it where it belongs. And follow. Let your actions and words be matched and in alignment with your claimed belief. Let it be so clear that you and others know exactly what you believe based on observation.
