Prayer for September 28, 2021

Prayer for September 28, 2021: Please pray with me. God who is beyond our control, why are we so addicted to control? Why is it something we desire so much – something that we are willing to do unreasonable things in order to obtain it? When will this end? Or is this just a feature of what humanity is about? Should we ask for an end of this desire? Given the results, why do we want control? We are really good at controlling things right into the ground. Your call to discipleship is a call to let go of control – actually to let go of the notion that we had any control to begin with. Help us to desire to follow you instead. Amen.
